2008 has been a big year of change for the Taylor Family. We packed up our life in Sydney, leaving behind all of our family and friends to take up Steves new position in the Tiwi Islands.
We flew into Darwin on the 4th January with cyclone Helen, and the whirl wind still goes on. The people who were meant to collect us from the airport were caught up in the weather. We were stranded at the airport till it was almost dark with a cyclone bearing down. When we eventually got transport to our residence a lovely neighbor came over with a torch, some batteries and bottled water. He advised us that the house was fairly solid but that the safest place to bunk down would be in the shower of the main bathroom.

So there we were with a mattress on the floor of the shower, five kids and a torch and it was right then that I knew there were going to be many testing times ahead and many hours spent in prayer. God is good however, and we were all fine.
